The Vashon Island Sewing Retreats were founded in 1984 by Lorraine Kimmel, and today are sponsored by the Stitching Girls Society non-profit organization and managed by Lorraine's daughter Penny, creating activities and events for people who love to sew, managed by people who love to sew.
